A floppy hat and stripes

This could be one of my final "baby belly" style posts!  I am actually hoping it is because I am so ready to have this little guy out.  I went for an ultrasound on Friday and Aidan currently weighs 8lb 13oz (or so they say), yikes!  So basically if I make it to my due date, this Friday, I will be delivering a 9lb baby, seriously!?!  This worries me just a little bit, therefore I am hoping the ultrasound weight estimate is heavier than his actual weight.  I've been told that is a definite possibility.  I go for my last doctors appointment today (or so I hope).  Time to check if this girl is dilated and almost ready to go.  I would actually be ecstatic if they told me to go straight to the hospital because I am ready to have this baby!

On the other hand I still have a "before the baby arrives" to do list which is not quite complete yet!

At least my hospital bags are ready to go!  How bad would it be if they weren't!  Oh and we installed the car seats in both our cars yesterday.  See we are ready!!

I love a good floppy hat!  And they are perfect to hide those "I don't really feel like doing my hair" kind of days and those "I'm to lazy to put makeup on" kind of days.  These days occur quite often when you reach 39 weeks.  I used to never leave the house without makeup on, ha those days are long gone.  I've learned to embrace the "all natural" look!  With the addition of a few items to my makeup collection, I have discovered a new, quick makeup routine.  I shall share these secrets soon for all you women on the go!

Here's to a fabulous Monday!!

5 Stores, 5 Fall Looks!

It's that time.  I have Fall Fever!

With fall fashion hitting the stores, I have been doing tons of online browsing.  I kind of dread going to the mall these days.  I put together five different looks from five different stores, starting with affordability and ending with a few splurges.  I would love to open my closet door tomorrow and have all five of these looks just appear, wishful thinking!  The looks are all very different ranging from causal to office appropriate with the perfect outfit for a night out added into the mix.  You always need a little of everything in your closet since you never know where life will take you.

This first look is from Old Navy and only costs $77.79 in total.  Now that's a bargain!  All the pieces are very versatile which is an added bonus.  Old Navy has come a long way.  I seem to find more and more stylish items there in the recent year.

The second look is from Forever 21.  This is one of my go to stores for affordable, stylish, and modern fashion.  I tend to have more luck online shopping than I do in the store.  You need to have time and patience when you go to one of there store because there is so much to search through.  My favorite thing about this look is all the fall colors mixed together.

This look cost $144.80 in total.  A pretty good price for all these items!

Next up is a look from Necessary Clothing.  I'm not sure how familiar you are with this store.  I only discovered it this past year.  They have a great selection of trendy, affordable clothing.  I have purchased some fabulous pieces from this store.  They only have stores in NYC so if you do not live in the city than it's online shopping for you.  Everything I have ordered online has been true to size, no complaints thus far.  I need this polka dot sweater in my life!

This look only cost $129.95 in total.  Score!

Ah Zara, one of my favorite stores.  Unfortunately the prices range from affordable to not so affordable in this store.  My favorite pieces always tend to be the items priced on the higher end, story of my life.  I really am in LOVE with this outfit though!  Black and White, what a simple color combination.  The added touch of color on the shoes, the spikes on the bag, and the animal print on the pants takes a simple combination and transforms it into a sophisticated but very stylish look.

This look costs $279.60 in total, definitely a splurge compared to the 3 previous looks.
But it's okay to splurge every once in awhile and this is defiantly a look I would splurge on!

Last but not least is a look from ASOS.  This look is perfect for a night out.  Take a pair of jeans and spice it up for a night out on the town.  I mean look at those pumps, can we say sexy!  I want it all!

This is what I like to call a "save your pennies" look!  It costs $403.62 in total.

1  |  2  |  3  |  4  |  5

Do you know how tempted I was to purchase all of these items, but I have slowly mastered that thing called self control.  I'm so ready to crack into my fall wardrobe.

You know what I'm missing from these looks, a fall essential...
Boots!!!
(booties, mid thigh, knee high, ankle..I love them all)

Yup I said it once and I'll say it again...
I have Fall Fever!!

Which look is your favorite?

What fall trends are you looking forward to wearing?

Belly Style: Casual Stripes

Here I am holding my basketball, seriously that's what I feel like!  I have maybe 4 pairs of shoes that currently fit my marshmallow feet, oh the joys of pregnancy.  But I'm still all smiles, well on most days!

I finally opened my Etsy shop and added some items including these 2 necklaces.  I only decided over a year ago I was going to open a shop.  I find it ironic that I find the time now right before baby boy arrives.

Over the weekend I was thinking about the things I've been missing throughout this pregnancy and how excited I am that I will be able to have these things back in my life soon enough!

Here is the list:

 - An Italian Hero!  I cannot even explain how badly I want to bite into one at this very moment.  I already told my fiancee he will be bringing me one to the hospital!  I've only wanted one from 3 months on.  Come to mama!

- To be able to lay on my stomach again!  I was never a stomach sleeper but that fact that I don't have the option drives me insane!  I just want to be able to lay on the couch on my STOMACH and watch TV.  Not something I ever thought I would miss.

- A glass of wine!  I will be honest, I love myself a glass of wine every now and then.  It's always nice to have a glass of wine with dinner after a stressful day.  I've had plenty of stressful days these last 9 months but no wine, so that first glass is going to be quite tasty.

- To be able to touch my toes again!  Not being able to bend down makes me crazy!  My belly is completely in the way.  Although I am going to miss the shelf it currently serves as.

- My shoes fitting again!  This is more of a current problem.  My feet decided they would swell ridiculously the last few weeks of my pregnancy.  Thank you feet!  I cannot even remember the last time I wore a pair of heels.

I am also excited I will not have to pee every hour (or 10 minutes for that matter) anymore!

Only 11 more days until my due date!

Time's running out, make sure you enter this months giveaway here!

Style at the Shore

I decided to get one last beach trip in this summer before Aidan arrives.  I needed to get my tan on one last time (minus the belly, which is the palest it has been in years) and just relax on the beach since next summer I will be chasing around a little one.  A quick two night trip is just what I needed!

When it came time to pack my beach attire, my goal was to keep it comfortable.  This is a maternity dress from Target which works great as a beach cover up or for just hanging around.  If I don't already look big enough in these pictures, you should see this dress without the belt.  Lets just say the belt was much needed!  I love summer hats and what better place to wear one but at the shore, especially to mask my frizzy hair from the beach weather.  Add a vest, why not!  These pieces all make for a cool, comfortable beach look!

Day 1 at the beach!

I spent yesterday at the beach with these cuties!!  My feet look like little sausages but it was well worth it.  I recently purchased a new lens for my camera so I had fun playing around with it.  I finally found some time to take an online photography class and learn how to correctly use the different functions on my camera.  I mean I've only had the camera for about 2 years now!  I'm in my 3rd week of the class with 3 more weeks to go and it is the best investment I ever made!  Perfect timing with Aidan arriving so soon because you better believe I will be one of those parents who takes a million pictures of her child!

It's beach time, day 2!

simple pieces with a touch of leopard

I am 37 weeks as of last Friday, which means I am officially considered full term!!  I cannot wait to meet my munchkin.  I'm hoping this little guy (or should I say big guy) stays put until his due date, but he is already 7lb 6oz so we shall see.  Only 3 more weeks and yes I am counting the days.  Pregnancy has become quite difficult this past week and I don't see it getting any better these next 3 weeks.  Although up until now I have had a pretty easy pregnancy, so I really cannot complain.

I'm pretty shocked that I am actually still getting dressed and have not resorted to slob status quite yet.  At this point, the maternity clothes have pretty much taken over my closet.  I was able to stay in non maternity clothes for a good amount of my pregnancy but those days have ended.  I decided to pair up a few simple pieces in my closet (that still fit) and just add a touch of leopard to it.  Without the added accessories,  this outfit would have been pretty blah!  I love how a few good accessories can completely transform an outfit into a totally different look.  Maybe this is why I have been so attracted to purchasing accessories lately rather than clothing.  Who am I kidding if I could fit in clothes I would be buying them too!

A Touch of Pink

This dress really does not do wonders for my bump between the print and its flowiness, but you know what I am okay with that because the fact of the matter is I am VERY pregnant right now!  Comfort is now my number one priority and this baby is comfortable!  It's actually not a maternity dress, exactly why I love Maxi dresses so much.  They have been essential to my wardrobe during this pregnancy.  I'm not sure what I would have done if I was at this stage of pregnancy during the winter.  One thing I have not found comfortable is pants.  Well maybe sweats but I'm not sure that would have gone over well at work.

I'm actually a huge fan of the pattern on this dress; although when I bought it my belly didn't look like this!  I like that fact that it can be dressed down for the daytime and dressed up for a night out.  Versatility is something I often look for when purchasing clothing items.  I also have a rule when shopping.  I must create three outfits in my head mixing the new item with items I already own before making the purchase.  I have been pretty good at sticking to this rule, but I am guilty of an impulse buy every now and than.  Who isn't!!

Belly Style - Stripes

I went to the doctors today and it's that time, the weekly visits have begun.  I still cannot believe I am 36 weeks and have less than a month until my due date!  Time goes by just too darn fast.  If I think time is flying now just imagine once baby Aidan arrives.  I'm going to want to stop time soon enough.

Out of all the maternity clothes I have purchased, this dress is by far my favorite.  It is so comfy and I love the striped pattern.  I have plans to take this dress in so I can continue to wear it after my pregnancy.  I'm just to smitten to let this dress sit in my closet and get no love.  I am a big fan of layering vests over my maxi dresses, hence then denim vest!  In this case, it also helps to disguise just how gigantic my bump is!  But then leave it to me to add a belt and accentuate the bump even more.
