5 Stores, 5 Fall Looks!

It's that time.  I have Fall Fever!

With fall fashion hitting the stores, I have been doing tons of online browsing.  I kind of dread going to the mall these days.  I put together five different looks from five different stores, starting with affordability and ending with a few splurges.  I would love to open my closet door tomorrow and have all five of these looks just appear, wishful thinking!  The looks are all very different ranging from causal to office appropriate with the perfect outfit for a night out added into the mix.  You always need a little of everything in your closet since you never know where life will take you.

This first look is from Old Navy and only costs $77.79 in total.  Now that's a bargain!  All the pieces are very versatile which is an added bonus.  Old Navy has come a long way.  I seem to find more and more stylish items there in the recent year.

The second look is from Forever 21.  This is one of my go to stores for affordable, stylish, and modern fashion.  I tend to have more luck online shopping than I do in the store.  You need to have time and patience when you go to one of there store because there is so much to search through.  My favorite thing about this look is all the fall colors mixed together.

This look cost $144.80 in total.  A pretty good price for all these items!

Next up is a look from Necessary Clothing.  I'm not sure how familiar you are with this store.  I only discovered it this past year.  They have a great selection of trendy, affordable clothing.  I have purchased some fabulous pieces from this store.  They only have stores in NYC so if you do not live in the city than it's online shopping for you.  Everything I have ordered online has been true to size, no complaints thus far.  I need this polka dot sweater in my life!

This look only cost $129.95 in total.  Score!

Ah Zara, one of my favorite stores.  Unfortunately the prices range from affordable to not so affordable in this store.  My favorite pieces always tend to be the items priced on the higher end, story of my life.  I really am in LOVE with this outfit though!  Black and White, what a simple color combination.  The added touch of color on the shoes, the spikes on the bag, and the animal print on the pants takes a simple combination and transforms it into a sophisticated but very stylish look.

This look costs $279.60 in total, definitely a splurge compared to the 3 previous looks.
But it's okay to splurge every once in awhile and this is defiantly a look I would splurge on!

Last but not least is a look from ASOS.  This look is perfect for a night out.  Take a pair of jeans and spice it up for a night out on the town.  I mean look at those pumps, can we say sexy!  I want it all!

This is what I like to call a "save your pennies" look!  It costs $403.62 in total.

Do you know how tempted I was to purchase all of these items, but I have slowly mastered that thing called self control.  I'm so ready to crack into my fall wardrobe.

You know what I'm missing from these looks, a fall essential...
(booties, mid thigh, knee high, ankle..I love them all)

Yup I said it once and I'll say it again...
I have Fall Fever!!

Which look is your favorite?

What fall trends are you looking forward to wearing?

Crazy for Polka Dots

One of my favorite trends for this fall is Polka Dots!  I thought I would share some of my favorite, affordable pieces.

1 / 23 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 78 / 9

-  I need these loafers from the Gap in my life!  I own them in pink and they are extremely comfortable especially when you are on your feet all day.

- I have been trying to order these polka dot capris for weeks now but they are sold out in my size, sigh.  I was hoping they would come back in stock, but no such luck yet.  They would look so cute with a striped sweater (pattern mixing - another favorite trend).

- I recently posted about my obsession with peplum tops so this polka dot one caught my eye immediately.  Just throw a blazer over it with a pair of boyfriend jeans and cute heels and you would have an adorable outfit for fall!

- How cute is the black and white bangle!  A perfect piece that I am sure would match tons of items in your wardrobe.

I wish I could add all these pieces to my fall wardrobe!  I would have so much fun styling them.

Have a fabulous weekend!!

Wedding Inspiration

For those of you who may not know, I got engaged this past March.  Sadly my engagement ring currently does not fit with my swollen fingers.  I have yet to pick a date yet for the wedding because with the baby coming unfortunately wedding planning has been placed on the back burner.  That doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about it and gathering ideas!

If you were to ask me what my favorite season of the year was my answer would have always been summer, but as I have grown up fall has started kicking summer out of its first place spot!

I have fallen in love with all things Fall!!
- apple picking
- anything pumpkin
- blazers
- boots
- the leaves changing color
- the brisk air

...and so much more...

But anyone who really knows me knows the love I have for Halloween, one of the main reasons I love  fall so much!  I have already purchased Aidan's first Halloween outfit and have started the search for his 1st Halloween costume!  On Tuesday, I purchased my first two Halloween decorations for the apartment.  Oh how the excitement is building as I write this post.  And yes I will be one of those mothers that dresses up every Halloween just to hand out candy and take my son trick or treating!  You are never too old for a costume, well in my mind at least.  Do you see the obsession yet!?!

So you are probably wondering where this is going considering the post is titled "Wedding Inspiration" and I started out talking about my recent engagement.  Well you see as I was contemplating when I wanted to get married I had two completely different ideas in mind and these were the only two possibilities I could imagine for myself.

1.  A DIY backyard wedding in MA during the Summer

2.  A masquerade ball themed wedding on Halloween

And I have decided #2 it is!  Halloween falls on a Friday in 2014, which is perfect.  I knew we were going to have a long engagement between having our first child, saving money for the wedding, and having the time to make everything.  I still plan on having a DIY wedding because I love crafting far to much to pay someone else to do everything!

Normally I would be cutting and printing out pictures to create an inspiration board but Pinterest now does this for me!  You can find me on Pinterest here.

Here is my inspiration thus far.

This all makes me super excited for my first Halloween with Aidan!

Love at First Sight: J.Crew Fall Fashion

I have been sitting here drooling over J.Crew's new fall arrivals.  I mean look at these colors.  Need I say more!?!  Now I know these vibrant colors are not for everyone but I am head over heels for them.  I put together three looks I am dying to have!  My excitement for fall is building immensely.  Besides fall fashion I can't wait for pumpkin pie, apple picking, HALLOWEEN (my all time favorite holiday), the leaves changing color, cool nights and cozy sweaters.

7.  Biella Loafers, $228

2.  Sash Skirt, $135
6.  Mona Suede Pumps, $198

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!  I'm off to make some necklace/bracelet samples for my fashion class!
