Wedding Inspiration: The Accessories

Left to Right: |  1  |  2  |  3  |  4  |  5  |  6  |  7  |  8  |

January was gone in the blink of an eye which puts me one month closer to the big day!  I am getting married 9 months from today, crazy right!  Planning a wedding is one of the most exciting and stressful times of your life.  For me deciding on my dress may have been the easiest decision thus far which may not always be the case for the bride.  I knew what I wanted so for me the decision was easy, just like deciding on my venue.  I looked at one place, which I first fell in love with online and then fell head over heels for in person.  Deciding on the right accessories was a bit more difficult.  As you can see, I am going for a more vintage feel when it comes to my accessories.  One thing I knew I wanted was colorful shoes because that fits my personality perfectly.  Now deciding on the color was a little more tricky.  Keeping in mind the bridesmaids/groomsmen's attire as well as all the color I am incorporating into my wedding, I finally decided on the right color.  BHLDN has been one of my go to stops for all things wedding including my wedding dress!  When it comes to diamonds, Diamonds and Rings offers both vintage and modern pieces.  If you want some sparkle, Diamonds and Rings will give you just that!  I knew I wanted a birdcage style veil but the determining factor was just how big did I want my headpiece to be.  Statement pieces are part of my everyday wardrobe so why wouldn't I go with a statement necklace for the day of my wedding.  I love that all my wedding accessories scream Erin!  A few of my accessories are pictured above but I won't spoil it for you.  You will just have to wait 9 months to see which ones I decided on.

Leather & Camo

|  Sweater: H&M  |  Jacket: Zara  |  Jeans: Urban Outfitters  |  Flats: Steven by Steve Madden  |  Rings: ASOS  |  Sunglasses: Karen Walker  |

When it comes to pattern mixing, I say be bold and take chances.  Not all patterns work well together but sometimes you will be surprised at what works.  I particularly love combining camouflage and leopard print together.  The addition of leopard print in my flats is subtle enough to tie this look together wonderfully.

Blue & Beige

|  Sweater: H&M  |  Vest: H&M  |  Denim: ASOS  |  Heels: Zara  |  Rings: ASOS  |  Sunglasses: Karen
                                                                            Walker  |

Beige and blue, what a fabulous combination.  I particularly love the different lengths of this look.  The long vest with a cropped sweater work perfectly together.

Black Layers & Fur

|  Turtleneck: Zara  |  Vest: Mango  |  Faux Fur: Victoria Secret  |  Jeans: Zara  |  Boots: Zara  |  Bag:
Coach  |  Sunglasses: Karen Walker  |

Yesterday we froze our little booties off for our engagement shoot, well worth it.  I tried my best to layer without looking overdressed.  Since my wardrobe is much larger than my fianc├ęs, I let him choose his outfit first and then I chose mine accordingly.  He went with a gray sweater so black was my go to choice and fur is just a must in a winter photo shoot!  You can also see how I styled this vest here and here.

Casual Chic

I wish denim was part of my work dress code.  Denim allows for endless styling opportunities both casual and dressy.  I would much rather wear heels with my jeans than sneakers anyway.  Sometime simple is the way to go and that is just what I did today!

Black | White | Denim

A simple weekend look is what we have here today.  Layers, heels, a warm scarf -- my kind of look for the cold weather.  My favorite part about this whole look is the "knee pads" on the jeans.  I am loving the quilted denim trend, adds a little something to a pair of simple jeans.  And there is nothing like a pair of heels with denim, creates a feminine look instantly.  I decided to take up knitting again and whipped up this scarf last week.  Perfect timing with the snow coming today!

Vertical Stripes

|  Tops: H&M  |  Jeans: Zara  |  Heels: Zara  |  Sunglasses: Karen Walker  |

I am not going to lie I often buy clothes on impulse, this top included, but this is one impulse buy I am not regretting.  I originally bought this top to wear with a matching pencil skirt, you can see the look HERE, but I love how it looks with high waisted denim.  The look is simple overall but the stripes on the top are bold enough to eliminate accessories.  I am already starting to see endless styling possibilities for this top!

I am really loving the camo and fur combination.  Everything is just better when you add some fur.  Since the pants are on the casual side, I added these girly pumps to spice up the look.  I kept the accessories simple with a few rings, a delicate necklace and this everyday wrist watch from Born Pretty Store.  Born Pretty Store is an online retail store that sells quality nail art, beauty and lifestyle products as well as jewelry and accessories.  I love the simplicity and versatility of this women's watch.  It stands out on its own but would also work wonderfully with an arm party.  I chose this black wrist watch with Arabic numeral marks because it works great with both silver or gold jewelry as well as colorful pieces.  If you are looking for a stylish, everyday LED watch, bracelet watch or wrist watch Born Pretty Store has a huge selection at great prices.  When shopping Born Pretty Store, you can use the coupon code ERINFC10 to receive 10% off your order!

A Splash of Neon - SAMMYdress Review

This fur vest from Zara is becoming a staple in my wardrobe this winter.  I am starting to think I can pair it with anything.  You can also see how I styled it here and here.  Since the weather is a little to cold for just a t-shirt, I decided to use the art of layering to transform this t-shirt from a summer piece to a winter piece.  SAMMYdress was kind enough to send me this comfy, stylish tee.  SAMMYdress is a global online wholesale supplier whose products range from wedding attire, to women's fashion, both men and women shoes as well as fashion accessories.  Not only does SAMMYdress offer trendy, high quality products but you cannot beat the prices!  This short sleeve deer logo t-shirt has a relaxed fit since it comes in one size fits all.  It comes in a variety of other colors, but I particularly love the combination of neon and gray.  Not only is it a great piece for layering, it also looks fabulous on its own.  I am also in love with this POW top, a fun logo sweatshirt full of color and a variety of patterns.  This chambray top, a perfect layering piece, works perfectly with both the gray in the tee shirt as well as the different shades of brown and beige in the faux fur vest.  Since the tops lean more on the casual side, I decided to add a pair of feminine heels for that added chicness.

Head over to SAMMYdress and once you find your favorite items, make sure to use code SAS13NV200 to save on your order!

Shades of Gray

I love the casual feel of this skirt but I also love that fact that it can be both dressed up and down.  I kept   the color palette in the gray family from head to toe with the addition of other neutral colors.  The look has a very feminine chic feel to it.

Spell It Out

Chunky necklaces and anything black seem to be my go to options this winter.  The weekend was a bit of a tease as the temperatures increased the layers decreased.  I used to be all about tights in the winter but now I just find them extremely uncomfortable.  This is why I was not meant to live somewhere with cold winters.  Thank goodness for Starbucks though, hot coffee makes this weather somewhat bearable.

Check out how I styled and layered this sweater here.

Layering

Layering seems to be a must this winter with the low temperatures we have been experiencing.  I am not a fan of heavy jackets which is probably why I love dressing for the warmer months as opposed to the colder ones.  This is why I never have jackets on haha.  Fur has been my best friend lately though.  I layered this vest over a combination blazer which creates a look that could appear as one piece.  The color palette was simple so I added a pop of red in my accessories to brighten up my overall look.

Blackout

My favorite part of this look is by far my shoes, obsessed!  I got these babies on sale and I am still swooning over them!  They were a perfect addition to a solid black look.
