Work It Wednesday: White T-Shirt

I love being able to take a single piece and style it numerous ways.  My goal was to post a "three looks - one way" post every week, but have been slacking.  When I saw that Jill over at Good Life for Less started Work it Wednesdays, I knew I had to join in on the fun.  I decided to take one of the simplest pieces in my closet and work it: a white t-shirt!

It's a gorgeous day outside today!!  So it's official the boots are out!  Looking forward to wearing all my lovelies that have been deprived all summer long.  You may not be able to tell but my skirt is leather...such a fun piece to wear!  So I am off to get my hair done since it's almost time to go back to work.  Time to get my highlights back!  Looking forward to one last weekend at the beach before school begins.

Well hello there!  Happy Monday!  Today is going to be a quick post due to the damage Irene left behind here in NJ.  Lots and lots of cleaning to do.  The weather cooled down after the hurricane so I was inspired to break out my favorite fall piece...the (faux) fur vest!  I am kind of in love with this vest!  I guess you can say it's one of my guilty pleasures!  The cool breeze yesterday made me really excited for boot weather, so I decided to wear my new booties as well!  Since I was unable to leave the house the past two days I got creative and made the bracelets I am wearing.  Want to know why I couldn't leave my house?  Well let me show you!

Yup this is the block I live on and this is what it looked like all day yesterday!  Thankfully the water is gone but unfortunately our basement lost the battle against Irene!  My thoughts go out to everyone else who has been affected by the hurricane.

Shoe Obsessed

I've always had a thing for shoes.  My collection of 145 pairs may back up that statement (and I got rid of about 50 pairs in the last year...yikes)!  And you know what to me that isn't even enough...can you really ever own too many pairs of shoes...yes I know I am shoe obsessed!  But what a difference the perfect pair of shoes can make to an outfit.  I specifically love statement shoes.  I could browse the Internet all day long looking for shoes and if I had the money I would by every single pair!  Here are a few of my current favorites.  What I would do for those Miu Miu glitter ankle boots!  Many of these shoes are out of my price range but that doesn't mean I can't drool over them and pretend right?!  But those Jeffrey Campbell loafers will be in my closet soon!  I'm saving the pennies.

This outfit and being in the woods has such a Fall feel to it.  I have been loving bold colored pants lately, so when I saw these yellow pants on sale at Topshop I knew I had to snatch them up.  I paired them with a simple stripe top and another pair of oxfords...I told you I was obsessed!  Every now and then I love a good casual look.

It's finally Friday!!  Boy has it been a long week.  Is everyone excited for the weekend?  I know I am!  Although it looks like Irene may ruin part of it.

As summer is coming to an end I start to visualize the different ways to style my outfit pieces for the Fall.  I also start to remember my favorite Fall pieces that have been hiding in my closet all summer long.  I can't wait to wear boyfriend blazers, animal prints, fur vests, and boots to name just a few!  What clothing pieces are you excited to wear this Fall?
