{Top: Forever 21, Blazer: H&M, Shorts: Express}

I'm so excited for blazers this Fall.  The summer heat has not allowed my blazers to make much of an appearance as of late.  I have developed a tiny obsession with printed blazers (obsession....never good).  Here is one, I have a feeling, of many to come.  I used to have a terribly hard time finding a blazer that fit due to its boxy silhouette.  I am so very happy blazers have taken on a more slim fit because this is one trend I will be sure to embrace this Fall!  Here's to a nice relaxing Sunday.  I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and be sure to enjoy what is left of it!

{Tank, Shorts, & Necklace: Express, Jacket: Zara, Shoes: Marc Fisher}

Over the years I have become less of an impulsive shopper (this is a good thing).  I used to go in a store, see something I liked and bam I bought it.  NOT ideal for my wallet!  So now when I see something I like I make sure (in my head) that I can create at least 3 outfits with that particular item.  See that way I know I will be getting my moneys worth.  Now don't get me wrong, this doesn't work in all cases.  My self control is not that strong yet!  There are some things I still just have to have regardless if I will only wear it once.  That's just my love for fashion.  This particular top is one of those items that you can style endlessly and that is why I adore it so much.  Not that long ago I created a post showcasing this very top in 3 ways (find post here) and here is yet another way to style it.  I must say this was a smart buy.  For this look I decided to combine this flowery top with a pair of black satin high waisted shorts (totally forget I owned these lovelies).  Since the neckline of this particular top is low cut I opted for a statement necklace in gold.  I decided on gold accessories to accent the gold buttons on the shorts.  I chose a pair of strappy sandals so I would not over power the rest of the look.  I added the jacket to this outfit for those cool summery nights.

Love It or Hate It

{Jumpsuit: H&M, Belt: American Eagle, Hat: Forever 21, Clutch: The Limited}

Now I will have to be completely honest with you.  I wasn't sure how I felt about this current trend at first "The Pants Jumpsuit."  I had a love/hate relationship with this trend for awhile.  When I finally decided I wanted to add one to my wardrobe, I knew it had to be just perfect in all aspects.  This was one case where I was going to be extremely picky.  This meant I would not be purchasing a jumpsuit unless it was the perfect fit.  So here was my criteria: 1. No saggy crotch, 2. Length for flats not heels, 3. Not skin tight or too loose.  Good luck Erin is probably what your thinking.  So I was browsing through H&M one day when this baby jumped out at me.  It was love at first sight!  To me it had a very romantic, flirty, feminine feel.  Perfect for an evening stroll along the beach.  Oh I'm such a romantic...sigh.  Although this is not an item I will be filling my closet with I do love my one and only jumpsuit!

Happy Friday!  Live it up!

Lovesick Mistake

{Top: H&M, Shorts: Threadsence, Shoes: The Loft}
{Necklace: Express, Hat: Nordstroms}

I'm loving shorts this summer which is not usually a summer trend of mine.  I love the romantic, feminine feel of these shorts and I heart ruffles (total girly girl at heart)!!  You can see how I styled these shorts in the past here.  Floppy hats have also made an appearance in my wardrobe quite often this summer.  I have been drooling over the early previews of fall fashion.  Can't wait for extreme layering!

A Colorful World

{Dress: Ruche, Shoes: Old Navy, Sunglasses: UO}

When I first saw this dress, I instantly fell in love!  So when I saw it was sold out I was not a happy girl.  When I got that wonderful e-mail that it was back in stock, you better believe I was over at Ruche's website immediately!  I just love the color combination and style of this dress.  I wore this dress my last day in DC.  What a perfect summer dress!

If you have not done so already head on over to Rose a la Mode and check out her adorable blog and her fabulous giveaway!  If you are a fan of Hunter boots then you are in for a treat!  She is giving away not only 1 but 2 pairs of boots!  How awesome is that!  So hurry up and check it out here:

Weekend Fun

My weekend in DC has come to an end (tear).  I love when I get to hang with Molly!  Now back to good ole New Jersey!

{Dress: OU, Necklace: Aldo, Bangles: Mandees}

So I really wanted to have a Georgetown cupcake while I was in DC but considering the temperature and the ginormous line we opted for Sprinkles instead and I can’t say I am upset we did!  Delicious!  I mean like mouth watering delicious especially the Salty Caramel!  Two thumbs up for my first Sprinkles experience!

Yesterday we decided to take a trip to Baltimore for some crabs by the water.  This was my first time ever eating a crab.  I wasn’t lying when I said I am not a very adventurous eater, but I thought it was time!  It was so much fun!  Very messy but so worth it!  Although I don’t think I have ever put that much work into eating before haha!

It probably looks like all I did in DC was eat, but I swear that was not the case!  I had an awesome time and can’t wait for the next visit!  Thanks Molly!!!  Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

A Quick Hello from DC

Omg it is a hot one today....jumper it is!

{Jumper: UO, Belt: H&M, Shoes: J. Crew}

Oh how I've missed Molly!!  Meet my girlfriend Molly.  She is basically just fabulous in every way and the sweetest girl you'll ever meet!  Molly and I went to college together and it has been 2 years since I have seen her last, so I am crazy excited about this trip.  Last night we enjoyed an excellent dinner at Bodega, a cute Spanish Tapas Lounge in Georgetown.  What better way to start my trip then with a pitcher of Sangria and some great food!  I am not a very adventurous eater, but last night I decided to live it up and tried Quail...ummm delicious!!  Looking forward to another great night!

Take a look at my first night in DC according to my iPhone!

Happy Friday!  Enjoy your weekend my lovelies!
