It's a Shore Thang

 { Top: H&M, Shorts: Sugar and Bruno, Necklace: Express, Shoes: Nine West }

I am headed down the shore to spend the holiday weekend with the fam, so I decided to bring a delicious dessert with me (hopefully it's delicious..fingers crossed).  Since I do not cook, I figured I needed to find a recipe that was almost impossible to mess up and that I did.  I decided on a no-bake peanut butter tart, which I found over at Joy the Baker, and it turned out to be quite scrumptious!

We decided to start out the weekend with some Cosmos, delicious!

Have a fabulous Friday!!

A girl can dream...

Having the summers off is a pretty sweet deal, one to good to pass up. The one downfall is my shopping budget is pretty tight; therefore I do more window shopping than actual buying. Here are a few faves on my current wish list! If I could have any one of these items this very minute....definitely the shoes!

1.  Topshop Cream Gem Embellished V-back, $80

2.  Sam Edelman Lorissa, $199

3.  Fenton Spine Necklace with Feathers, $$$

4.  Style By Marina Vanessa Belted Shorts, $52

5.  Style By Marina Zebra Print Skirt, $57

Now lets be realistic.  There is no way I can go all summer without treating myself, so I decided on these few items for now.  I am thrilled with my new finds and rather impressed with myself for not overspending (a teensy-weensy problem I tend to have).

Kickstart My Heart

{ Dress: H&M, Shoes: Steve Madden }

 { Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters }

{ Bracelets: Alex and Ani }

I had a lunch date with my mom today.  We ate at Raymond's, a cute little place in Montclair.  My sandwich was quite delicious!

About a month ago, me and a few girls from work went to a paint-your-own ceramics studio in Montclair called Doin' Dishes.  Every Tuesday night form 6-9pm they host a ladies night, which sounded perfect for some artsy fun.  I must say the place is quite adorable and a most excellent find.  Over dinner and a bottle of wine, we put our artistic skills to the test.  I decided to paint this cute little teapot!  It's no Pottery Barn, but I am rather happy with the results.  A summer must for all you creative minds out there!  Eat, Drink, Paint and Be Merry!

Cheers! To New Beginnings

Summer is finally here, hooray! This is my favorite time of year for soooo many reasons but most importantly because I get my “me” time back. Being a teacher, from September to June, I basically lose most of my free time (but I honestly love my job, so no complaints). I figured it was about time to finally indulge in the unavoidable want I’ve had to start blogging. With that being said, hello there and welcome to Simply Just Lovely.

{ I could spend everyday like this. }

1st Summer Project:  Room Renovation - Sewing Workstation

Come September I will be making the switch from a Math teacher to a Fashion teacher.  I know, I know one extreme to the other.  But this change makes me a very happy girl!  My sewing machine will be running wild this school year, so I figured it was time to finally make space for a little makeshift workstation.  Here is the result.
