GlossyBox Review

Shopathome and GlossyBox were kind enough to send me a Holiday Limited Edition Glossybox to review.  For those of you who are wondering what GlossyBox is let me fill you in.  GlossyBox is basically a box filled with a bunch of beauty treats that arrives at your door monthly.  It is the perfect way to try out new beauty products without purchasing a full sized item at the store.  The best part is that it only costs $21 a month for five deluxe-sized products!  Head over to GlossyBox for more information and to purchase your own monthly subscription.

Now lets take a peek into this gorgeous box.  Let me start off with the beautiful packaging.  The Holiday Limited Edition comes in a red velvet box that is breathtaking.  Once you open up the box, the inside is just as pretty as the box itself.  Packaging is extremely important to me since it is the first thing that catches the customers eye and lets just say GlossyBox nailed it!

Inside you will find a brochure that provides an explanation about each product provided in the box as well as application tips.  This is definitely an added bonus.

The first product was a lipstick in Crimson Wonderland from The Lip Bar.  This color is perfect for the holidays and is sure to turn heads.  I loved the bright red color and that fact that it is cruelty-free and filled with nurturing ingredients like organic shea butter, avocado oil and coconut oil.  Not only will my lips look gorgeous this holiday season but they will feel great too!  The full size product retails at $25.00.

Another perfect product for this holiday season, nail lacquer in Satin Sheets, Velvet Ropes.  This product is made by NCLA.  I absolutely loved the name of this nail color as well as the bold red shade.  Every girl needs a good red nail polish and I would definitely recommend this one.  The full size product retails at $16.00.

Next we have a moisturizing lip gloss in Wind by Jouer.  This lip gloss which is filled with vitamin E, shea butter and jojoba seed oil nourishes and hydrates your lips while giving them a pinky nude color.    It's the perfect tint of color for an everyday look.  The full size product retails at $20.00.

Now onto the eyeliner, TexasLiner liquid eyeliner by Cargo.  I am a huge fan of liquid eyeliner and the thicker felt tip on this particular product allows for easy application.  You have complete control over if you want a subtle or bold eye.  If you are a cat eye kind of gal then this is definitely for you.  The full size product retails at $20.00.

If you are looking for an everyday perfume scent, I would reccomend Reveal by Calvin Klein.  It has a subtle and fresh smell.  he full size product retails at $90.00.

My lips are going to be in great shape this winter season.  This nourishing lip butter in Rainforest at Dawn by Teadora smells so delicious I want to eat it!  This is perfect for a light exfoliation and hydration throughout the day.  It is small and compact which is perfect to toss in your purse for daily touch ups to keep your lips from getting chapped in the cold weather.  The full size product retails at $15.00.

The Loose Color Concentrates in Smote by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is a pretty shade that adds just the right amount of shimmer.  I am a big fan of shimmer on my eyes during the holidays.  This shade is great for a smokey eye and goes on smoothly.  You only need to use a small amount to create a beautiful eye.  The full size product retails at $14.00.

I was hoping there would be a mascara in this box.  I have tried so many different mascaras and find it hard to find one that doesn't clump and goes on smoothly.  So far I really like Korres Volcanic Minerals Volumizing mascara.  The tapered brush on this mascara ensures clump-free application.  he full size product retails at $20.00.

I love the idea of being able to try out new beauty products every month without having to purchase a full size product which I might end up hating.  And I don't even have to go to the store to purchase the products, bonus!  GlossyBox is such a great idea for any beauty lover.  Make sure you check out the latest box here.
